A.D. has expanded his gift of writing to become a notable playwright. In the summer of 2012, Locked Up, But Not Locked Out premiered at the Antioch Church in Memphis, Tennessee. This production was written, directed, and composed entirely by A.D., III. Guest star, Palmer Williams, Jr., from Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family and House of Payne was featured in the second run of this inspirational and evangelical presentation.

On Resurrection Sunday 2013, an ensemble of actors, singers, dancers, and musicians (all members of Antioch Church), presented the inaugural performance of A. D.'s original production, Opera de Crucifixion'. Touched by the plight of young African-American men, A.D. was divinely inspired to write his next stage production entitled, GREED. GREED debuted at Antioch Church on July 26, 2013, with a second run to a larger audience at American Way Middle School on October 19, 2013.

Last year, A.D. expanded his talents once again to include starring in one of his own productions as a major character, Uncle Curly. The hilarious stage play,
Ain't Nothing Like Family, debuted Mother's Day Weekend 2014, at American Way Middle School. A.D. added another installment to his new brand on Mother's Day 2015, Uncle Curly's Family Dinner, with two shows at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts.  Uncle Curly's Classroom soon followed, debuting Thanksgiving 2015, for two shows at the Cannon Center.

Since then, the Uncle Curly brand has continued to grow. It's Uncle Curly's Classroom Too! premiered at Greater Imani Church on March 17, 2017, followed by a national launch of Uncle Curly's Classroom at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA on July 8, 2017.
